Rongnyoo Rongit (Prayers and Ovation) SamSa at Teesta River on 31 st Jan. 2022.

West Bengal Mayel Lyang Lepcha Development Board, Tribal Development Department Govt. of West Bengal Celebrated Rongnyoo Rongit (Prayers and Ovation) SamSa Aasoong at Teesta Rongeet River on 31 st Jan. 2022. The programme, was jointly organized by WBMLLDB, Tribal Development Department and MLILTA in association with Rongnyoo Rongit Thoom Shezoom at the confluence of Teesta Rongeet River.Due to Government Covid-19 Restriction guideline only surrounding areas Lepcha People were assembled to witness the event.

• Muns and Boongthing, is seen praying for peace and prosperity of Mayel Lyang before the alter during the Rongyoo Rongit samsa programme on 31 st Jan.2022, Teesta River.
• Chairman WBMLLDB, Tribal Development Department, Govt. of West Bengal, Aathing Lyangsong Tamsang, is seen offering Traditional scarf (Khada) and taking blessing from Muns and Bungthings on 31 st Jan.2022, at Teesta Rongeet River.
